Celebrating World Radio Day

Today is World Radio Day. To celebrate this occasion we made a short video with an excerpt of our song ‘Blake Or Doe’ recorded live on acetate disc using a 1938 record cutter at the Estonian Broadcasting Museum in Türi. The record cutter seen in the video is the same we used while doing the recording. As well, this particular record cutter was in use at the Estonian Public Broadcasting.

In August 2018 sound artist Raul Keller invited Ringhold to record a couple of songs at a live happening of his residency at the Estonian Broadcasting Museum. Raul Keller’s and Hello Upan’s noise impro duo Post Horn also played and recorded.
During a week prior to the live presentation Raul and Kalle worked on repairing the record cutter.
